Ship Piano

This is another interesting piano dating from around the 30’s. It was designed for installation on a yacht or cruiser where space is limited. As you can see, the keyboard folds up to be nearly flush with the main casework. The action, strung-back and key-bed are exactly the same as usual except for the folding mechanism. I’ve tuned these before but this one is by far the best example I’ve seen - as long as you like green! In fact, even the key-sharps are finished in the same green marbled effect as the casework, which is the reason the owner bought it.
